I found an interesting image on the internet, which you can find below. The image basically highlights the relationship between mindset and results.

The spiral can actually go in two ways, upwards and downwards, but before we go into it let’s examine the spiral a little closer.

The Same Old Thinking … The Same Old Results

So, your mindset is responsible for your result as well as your result is responsible for your mindset.

For example, you are in a positive mindset, you are motivated and you are full of new great ideas, this, of course, will lead to great results.

Now, if we look from the other end, if you are getting poor results then your mindset gets affected you feel unmotivated to do a good job and a poor mindset again affects your results.

Upwards Spiral

As I said this spiral can go upwards or downwards.

For example, you are feeling motivated, happy, and empowered, this affects your productivity and creativity and you get much better results and good results motivate you to do an even better job, which then gives even better results and this goes on and on and on.

You, have definitely noticed that, if you get a lot of good news in the morning then the whole day you feel more energetic and you manage to get a lot more done.

It’s because you had a higher level mindset and you should actually start your every day by focusing on your mindset.

Doing things like reading books, thinking about what you are grateful for, rethinking your goals, and getting yourself motivated and inspired.

If you do this you will have a higher level of thinking which will influence your results.

Downwards Spiral

The downwards spiral example would be, if you start your day by reading the news, what bad things occurred whilst you were asleep, you don’t do anything to improve your mindset, you feel tired and lazy, but you need to do the work and of course, you get poor results.

When you get poor results, it “destroys” you even more and you put even less effort into your work and you get even worse results.

And this goes on and on and on. That’s a downwards spiral.

If you don’t want to get into a downward spiral you need to improve your mindset and thinking.

Your current thinking can only get you as far, you need to be constantly improving, learning new skills, and trying out different ideas.

A new kind of thinking will bring you results that you haven’t gotten. If you will always do the same things, your results will only go as far.

So, be creative keep improving, spend time each day to improve your mindset, and get yourself motivated and inspired before you start working, this will increase your productivity and creativity, which will bring you better results and those results will serve you as motivation to do great work again.
